Bulb planting and presentation of cheque

On Saturday Girlguiding Cornwall were very privileged to plant the first bulbs at ‘Little Harbour’, near Porthpean.

9th St Austell Brownies and 6th St Austell Guides were fortunate to have brilliant weather to plant the special "Guiding Spirit" daffodils in the Secret Garden at ‘Little Harbour’. We also presented the final cheque of £1200 from our "100 coins for 100 years" challenge that ran during our Centenary. This has now made a total of £9000 from Girlguiding Cornwall members.

Some of the adults were delighted to have a tour of the Children’s Hospice and see the fantastic work that has created a very special place for short and precious lives. ‘Little Harbour’ will give much needed respite and care to children with life limiting illnesses and their families, from Cornwall and Plymouth.
