The Baden Powell Challenge is the highest award in the Guide section - as a result few girls complete it, so congratulations go to these twelve girls from various places around the County. Towards the end of the award the girls take part in a weekend called an Adventure, the most recent taking place in London. The girls report on it for themselves:
"We walked around London and saw Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey where the Baden Powell Plaque is. We then headed for Downing Street and we went in and stood outside the Prime Minister’s door and had our photo taken. We saw the people statues at the London Eye, we then went on the London Eye and did the 4d experience then we made our way over to Trafalgar Square and sat on the huge Lions. After tea we went to the biggest toy shop in London - Hambleys," says Ellie from Devoran.
"Our favourite bit was Downing Street, we got let through the gates and we touched the door. It was amazing! Also we went on the London Eye, it was a different experience which I hadn't done before. I loved it. We renewed our Promise which was really special. Our weekend was really enjoyable, meeting new friends and having new experiences," say Jen and Pam from Redruth and Torpoint.
