My name is Christine Davey, the County Commissioner for Girlguiding Cornwall, and I welcome you to Girlguiding in our wonderful County of Cornwall where Guiding is happening from coast to coast. We have Rainbows, Brownies and Guide members on the Isles of Scilly and from Lands End to Launceston and Torpoint, together with Senior Section members in all the main towns and villages across the whole of Cornwall. Success at Royal Cornwall Show

June 12, 2013

Even in some of the hottest temperatures of this summer, the PR team at this year's Royal Cornwall Show didn't let the sauna-like heat get in the way of their mission to shake up visitors' current perceptions of Guiding in the County!

Outdoor Cooking Competition

May 28, 2013

The County Patrol outdoor cooking competition took place in May, on a beautiful day, at Condurro, our County campsite. This year the Patrols were asked to cook a three course meal on a wood fire: soup, a main course of fish and a cooked pudding. Quite a challenge for girls of Guide age!

Two new trainers

Two Leaders were yesterday presented with the Girlguiding Trainer Qualification by the County Commissioner.

SHINE gig at Bournemouth

Praze-an-Beeble Guides had a lovely day out to Bournemouth to attend the SHINE Region gig to see JLS, Aidan Grimshaw and the up and coming Loveable Young Rogues.

Guide activity days

April 23, 2013

In March over 200 Guides had a day of outdoor fun at the Scout County Campsite near Bodmin. There were many new activities to try this year, and the extremely cold weather didn't spoil the fun!

What do we do?

The internet is changing the way we live. Young people have taken to technological advances very quickly, taking advantage of the opportunities they provide to socialise, communicate and learn. However, new technologies bring new risks that we need to be aware of and manage in order to safeguard the welfare of our members. Girlguiding UK are constantly updating resources online to keep our Young Girls safe.
