Summer makes an appearance in March at Nine Ashes! For the second year running the Guide Activity Days were blessed with glorious weather. With over 260 Guides attending over the two days, it was a busy weekend.

March 31st saw Girlguiding Cornwall holding their annual review at the Royal Cornwall Showground. This was led for the first time by Chris Davey our new County Commissioner.
This year there was a slightly different format to the afternoon which proved a great success with a very good attendance. The presentation of awards and the annual review were combined in the one event, which made for an interesting and informative afternoon.

Brownies from the 1st Camborne Pack are celebrating after being presented with their Bronze Award certificates from the Children’s University. The children have taken part in thirty hours of learning activities with their Brownie Pack who are part of the Children’s University, a national project which recognises the achievements of young people who take part in high quality out of hours learning activities.

On 4th February, over 100 Guides, Senior Sections, Leaders and Trefoil Guild members gathered at Newquay Tretherras School to enjoy a day of Arts & Crafts with a Tudor theme.

Two young women from Saltash were presented with their Queen's Guide awards by the County Commissioner recently. Lydia Butler (left) and Katie Finch were congratulated on completing this very testing award, the highest in Guiding.
